The Town Council reported significant damage to the bus stop near the library and reported to DCC at 8.30am this morning as it falls under their remit.
DCC promptly attended and were seen cleaning the area.

Chilton Food Bank is open every Monday and Tuesday from 10am – 12noon at St Aidan’s Church Hall.
As well as dealing with those in need, any food donations can be dropped off during this this time or alternatively can be left at Sainsbury’s, Chilton.
Anyone who is vulnerable/shielding and missing their library books can ring Durham County Council Community Together Team on 03000 260 260. Arrangements will be made to drop off a small selection of your preferred type of reading.
The Community Hub is also offering a reading service to callers as part of their online library service Borrowbox.
A selection of books, alongside good news and local news stories from the library’s enewspaper, emagazine and ecomics collections are on offer for residents to listen to at home.
Fans of the reading service can also take advantage of a ‘lucky dip’ doorstep book offer which will see fiction, non-fiction or children’s books delivered to their door for them to keep.

Please find attached details of forthcoming works by Durham County Council to the “Pit Woods” (West of Denebridge Row). The Town Council are advised that the contractor hope to being work later this week, the work is expected to take a couple of weeks, some informal paths may be temporarily closed whilst the work is undertaken, but these will be re-instated.
