Chilton Town Council are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, equipped and insured Grounds Maintenance Contractor to refurbish a parcel of land on their behalf, the work required will briefly comprise of:-
Clearing the site of, and disposal of, all existing weeds, rubble and debris.
Building retaining walls.
Installing new timber fence to match the height of an adjacent fence.
Removing old brickwork from a former brick structure.
Building up levels to meet existing adjacent track and footpath levels.
Providing subsoil and topsoil to a depth of approx. 2 feet to support growth of shrubs and a small tree.
Create a border using paving block paving.
Replace an existing water meter cover with lockable cover
Turf the area with allowance for flower / shrub bedding areas.
Interested parties should contact the Town Clerk as a matter of urgency on 01388 721788 to arrange a meeting on site, which must take place by no later than Friday 30th October 2020, a more detailed specification of the required works and tender forms will be provided at the site meeting. Only those contractors who attend a site meeting will be eligible to tender.
The date for submission of formal tenders is noon on Wednesday 4th November 2020, tenders will be awarded on Thursday 5th November 2020 and the works are expected to commence no site by no later than Monday November 9th 2020.
