County Durham Plan – Publication of Inspector’s Report
Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended)
Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012
The County Durham Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on 28 June 2019. The Secretary of State appointed William Fieldhouse to conduct an independent Examination of the Plan.
Notice is hereby given in accordance with Regulation 25 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 that on 19 September 2020, Durham County Council received the Inspector’s Report on the Examination of the County Durham Plan. The Report sets out the Inspector’s recommendations and his reasons for them. The Inspector’s Report concludes that the County Durham Plan is sound subject to Main Modifications being made to the Plan prior to adoption.
