Chilton Town Council are proud and honoured to be remembering our Armed Forces personnel on Saturday 29th June 2019.
At 10.30am the Mayor, Councillor E. Bruce along with Town and County Councillor colleagues will attend a short service in front of the War Memorial. The Mayor will then unveil the Tommy Silhouette which the Vicar will then dedicate. The Mayor will be laying a wreath in remembrance, anyone else is welcome to do the same.
A procession will follow (on footpath) to the Chilton Gala which the Mayor will formally open at 11am. There will also be pipers at the event as well as World War 2 re-enactment group.
Chilton Town Council would like to thank those who kindly donated funds towards the purchase of the Tommy Silhouette, Cllr’s. L. Dixon, J.Houlihan and C.Potts. Special thanks to Sheltee who kindly erected the silhouette.
