Crime Prevention

The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 gave new powers and duties to town & parish councils. Chilton Town Council are committed to make Chilton a safe place to live and work. We do this in a number of ways such as:

Local Police and Neighbourhood Wardens

Chilton has its own dedicated Police Beat Officer Micheal Robins, Community Support Officer (PCSO) David Evans providing a police presence within the Town. Anyone who would like to log a complaint can do so in various ways; Anonymously by posting complaint in the designated box within the Town Council office or logging a complaint along with contact telephone number in the book located within the Town Council Offices.

The Police/Neighbourhood Warden will retrieve and respond accordingly. Alternatively you can ring the non-emergency police number on 101.

C.C.T.V

Chilton Town Council have 5 C.C.T.V camera’s located on Durham Road and within the the Recreation Ground at West Chilton Terrace. These camera’s are monitored 24 hours a day and recording onto digital harddrives
