I was born in 1946 at Trimdon Grange and attended schools at Trimdon Grange and Trimdon Village.
I have three sons and four grandchildren. I worked at Grieasons Bus Company for four years. I worked at Chilton Infants School for 24 years.
I moved to Chilton in 1966 and over the years I have seen many changes. The village is now classified as a Town and we have a Mayor which represents Chilton. Houses and schools have been demolished with new ones built. We also now have a nursing home, new parks, play grounds and football fields. A major part of the recent regeneration was the creation of the long awaited bypass. From this a lovely front street was created with seating where you can now stop and have a chat. Christmas 2006 saw Durham Road aligned with illuminations for the first time.
Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, driving, computer and reading.
