Allotments
Chilton Town Council oversees 220 plots spanning three sites at West Chilton, Prospect Terrace and Hamilton Way in Chilton. There is currently a waiting list for all 3 sites. Allotment plots are various sizes. In order that we can encourage more residents to 'grow their own' some of the plots have been sub-divided into smaller areas which makes them easier to maintain.
The yearly rent currently ranges from £18.00 to £20.00 (2009/2010) depending on allotment site. This rent includes provision of water. (Under review)
Only residents in the parish of Chilton may apply for an allotment (application form). Please note minimum residency within the parish of 6 months is required before consideration of an allotment application.
