Chilton Fireworks Display 2017

On Friday 3rd November 2017 Chilton residents turned out to watch the much anticipated fireworks display.  The crowd were not disappointed as the array of fireworks were fantastic.    Everyone seemed to throughly enjoy themselves & the event proved to be a massive success. Both on the evening & since we have received lots of positive comments about the event & demand for it to become an annual event.  This will of course have to be discussed with members before any decision can be finalised.  We are aware that owing to the limit on tickets imposed some residents were unable to attend however this was on advice from the Safety Advisory Group.

The display is a first for the Town & was only made possible with donations from Chilton Residents Association & County Councillor Christine Potts from her Neighbourhood Budget plus input from Paula Nixon at the AAP who worked tirelessly to ensure the project funding was secured due to a tight deadline. Events on this scale also need willing volunteers so they run smoothly.  We would therefore like to thank everyone who kindly assisted at the event as it was greatly appreciated.

Members would like to express their appreciation to Paul Gray, Town Clerk who led the fireworks project & deserve credit for a successful event.

We welcome any photographs or feedback on the event, please call into the Town Council office or email info@chiltondurham-tc.gov.uk

Finally on another note all household will have received a hard copy consultation on leisure activities from the Town Council.   Please complete & return to the Council offices or alternatively complete online by entering the following into your web browser https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HFBH82Z by no later than 1st December.  Residents views are important.
