Allotments

Chilton Town Council oversees 220 plots spanning three sites at West Chilton, Prospect Terrace and Hambleton Way in Chilton. There is currently a waiting list for all 3 sites. Allotment plots are various sizes. In order that we can encourage more residents to ‘grow their own’ some of the plots have been sub-divided into smaller areas which makes them easier to maintain.

The Council have an Allotment Committee. The Committee hold a meeting every 1st Thursday of the month (excluding August) at Hutton House beginning 10.30a.m. All allotment tenants are welcome to attend.

The current allotment rent is £22.50 (2017). This rent does include provision of water, however this is a separate charge and will payable in arrears. Water rate charged for 2017 (£5.00).

Only residents within the parish of Chilton may apply for an allotment (application form). Please note minimum residency within the parish of 6 months and minimum age of 18 years is required before consideration of an allotment application.
