Chilton Cemetery – New Memorial Garden
On Tuesday 11th March 2008 the new Memorial Garden was officially handed over to Chilton Town Council from the Chilton in Bloom Committee.
The Memorial Garden will be purely dedicated for the interment of cremated remains and erection of plaques. The garden is complete with a solar power water feature, wrought iron fencing and a grassed area plus seating.
This project would not have been possible without the hard work of the Chilton in Bloom Committee. During 2007 they obtained grants from the Esh Group Foundation and Awards for All enabling the project to commence. In addition to the grants there was also support from other local companies all of which the Chilton in Bloom Committee would like to express their sincere thanks.
The Town Council would like to thank the Chilton in Bloom Committee for their hard work in completing this project.
