In view of the importance of the Health Centre project Local MP Phil Wilson also attends.
Commenting on the initial discussions at the group, Cllr Joe Lee said, Its long been my aim to see the people of
Chilton benefit from high quality health services, available within the village. Chilton is changing, progress is being made and I’m sure colleagues in the Health sector will help lead the way with this longstanding project.” Adding his voice to the determination to deliver improved health services within the village, Sedgefield MP Phil Wilson added:
“ All parties round the table are working together to identify and deliver the best site for new Health Facilities in Chilton, balancing the overwhelming public demand with the need to find a suitable site, easily accessed by all residents” The group meet next in May to review a number of sites identified for the Health Centre and to consider what additional services can be delivered from the new premises.
